My buddy got his stolen. What are his chances of getting it back. When the thieves go to use it, is it going to show up online or something as being used? I know when I got my Ipod, you had to type in the number on the back of it when installing the software. So maybe when they go to use it, it could be tracked? Or if the theives already have existing software for an ipod on there comp and use the stolen, are they pretty much going to get away with it?

I had mine stolen off a Swiss flight back in January. There are other programs to access the iPod's music library that do not require you to type in the number. There is little to no chance he will get it back.

Like what? You still have to connect the Ipod into the computer... What other programs can you use?

There are tons of programs available for free that can access the ipod without itunes. Your friend will never see his ipod again. Sucky!

In your opinion. I've had origional ipod, a mini and a video. Also had the newest zen and i can say the ipod is better in nearly every way. Get anapod explorer for your ipod usage though. 10000000x better then itunes.

my ipod mini has been nothing but headachs, the battery lasts about... 1 minute now, I only use it in the car anymore because I have to constantly leave it plugged in. if the battery dies when its not plugged into a wall source, I cant turn it back on until I plug it back into a wall source, cant do it from a car charger because it doesnt put out enough power to charge and run the ipod. Absolutely horrible. I really wish I had of gotten a regular ipod so I could replace the battery in it
One of my friends is giving me a brand new dell jukebox witha fryed hard drive, im gonna see if I can replace the hard drive in it... One of my new projects.
