So, I have a bit of a story to tell that I had a hard time believing myself.
My little brother called me today asking a few questions about doing a brake job for a friend of his. He is fairly competant with cars and is a civil engineering intern for a project on the O'Hare airport, so I figured he could handle it. We went over what he needed and then he starts asking me about the surface of rotors. He starts describing what seems like slotted rotors to me, but this is on a 97 escort, and he says it is only one side of one rotor. Anyways it ends up that the drivers side rotor is simply a vented rotor minus the outer edge of the rotor.

I couldnt believe it till he sent me a pic. Supposedly one of her other friends had done a complete brake job for her last year... It is sort of scary to know these things sometimes.
