OP stevef Newbie S Joined: Jul 2006 Posts: 2	Hi guys, I live in the UK so my car is the mondeo 2.5L 24v manual. This noise has got worse over the last 6 months, sounds like the exhaust manifold blowing on one cylinder(front bank) at the timming chain end of the engine, thats been checked out OK and put back on with a new gasket, noise still there, had a compression test done on the front cylinders, all about 14 bar so OK. Anyone any ideas? Thanks.

OP stevef Newbie S Joined: Jul 2006 Posts: 2	Hi, haven't got a code reader, but the car runs good, starts 1st time and is OK for fuel comsuption, just this damn noise, also I forgot to say it gets louder when the engine is warm and under load, there are no vacuum hoses in the area only the A/C pipes to the compressor which has no gas in it due to a hole in the condensor.

I am definitely not an expert on these cars...yet, but that was my problem.... Why the heck should I have to press 1 for English? 98 Contour SVT resinator removed, boomz intake, MSDS headers(just getting started)
