This is a sorta odd-ball question, but figured this might be the best place to ask. I've scavenged a few Mega fuses (and holders) from junkyard Zetec Contours and plan to use them in a custom application on a different vehicle. So I figured, why not grab the factory cables too!? But last time I checked back there, those damn cables just seem to run away and disappear! Am I correct that one end just goes right to the alternator and the other to the starter?
I've been known to take a sledge to an otherwise unwanted intake manifold - would that address my "accessibility issues"?

Thanks...

You say you grabbed them from a zetec, so I'm geussing you have a zetec. But for what it helps, on a duratec... You will need to remove the coil pack, to access the fuse. One end goes to the alternator and the other goes to the starter and from the starter to the battery. Its hard to keep track of the wires but with the intake off its a bit easier.

Actually, I have neither motor (or the car) any more, but remembered the Mega Fuse. The old-skool approach was to let the wire itself be a fusible link, but I'd much rather use an easily replaceable fuse.

Thanks for the confirmation.
