Hey guys, i've got a problem and i need your advice. I bought my SVT in April knowing the clutch wasn't strong, but i had hoped it would last through the summer until i stored it and then i could pull the tranny and have it built and get a SPEC Stage 1 in there. Here is my problem. Saturday on the way home from Pole's house near Milwaukee, I notice some bad clutch slip on the highway. I get home and i notice it in almost every gear. It's been parked in my driveway ever since and i've been driving my SE. I don't have alot of money to work with right now, so any option i decide would have to be added on to my loan for the SVT. I've been exploring my options and here is what i have to decide between:
1.Quick fix: Get a SPEC Stage 1 clutch and related components and have local shop repair it for $550
2. Get a SPEC Stage 1 clutch and related components and have a buddy do the work so i save about 400 in shop labor
3. Store it till this winter and continue on with my original plans and forget about driving it and taking it to track days till next year.
4. Get the SPEC Stage 1 clutch and related components and have a buddy help me pull the trans and get it built by TH and put everything in over about a month's worth of weekends
I don't know what to do....could you guys gimme your opinions? Thanks

if you don't have the funds to do everything that you want at this time and since you have another vehicle to drive I would stick to your original plans and do the work this winter.
there is no point to replace the clutch then have to pull it again in a few months imo

You know my vote, bring it by the shop and we'll do everything at once this fall. Otherwise you're paying to tear it appart twice...
We'll track the hell out of the SVT's next year
