My driver window has worked intermittently, and after changing relay and switch I am now changing the motor.

Well, I bought a replacement motor, and got undone most screws that I could, but I am going nuts at figuring out how to detach the motor from the cable unit, as the screws are on the opposite side inside the door.

I can't really get the glass out of the way as it is down, and can shift all around, but not up as the motor is dead.

Any help on what I should do?

thanks a lot, stefano

the autozone pages do not help me unfortunately, as they don't say how to disconnect the glass form the pulley unit, or the pulley unit form the motor, which is what i need. it is impossible to move things around so that the motor can be twisted enough out of the sheet metal holes, so that it is possible to work on the blind side with an allen wrench to get the screws.

if anyone has changed the motor only, than they will know what to do.

thanks, stefano
