i don't know how hard it is, but it may not be worth doing just yet. i'd say jumping up to a 65mm TB is a "heavier" modded car modification. i don't consider just intake/exhaust heavier.

I have to say if you can get it cheap, grab it while you can. I did this to my SVT, it was great. Mine is not heavily modded and that's been my favorite addition. It takes a little work and most likely, you'll have to go as far as pulling out the butterfly and flipping the insides of the TB around, then install it upsidedown. It takes a little creativity, but works great. It took about 4 or 5 hours to get it all done (of course, we had to figure out how to do it) but it was well worth the time.

It's been shown to lose power on the dyno on even medium modded SVT's.

Even though the butt dyno said otherwise...

When I tried it last fall I felt a noticeable gain on the butt dyno. However the track said 2 tenths and over 1 mph slower. I was making 187HP at the time (with an optimized 60mm)

IMO it's a pass mod for a 2.5L unless you can dyno tune for it and are highly modded...

if you have big plans - apexi, headers, etc - get it now, but put it on later

Yeah, you may want to trust the real dyno numbers before my butt dyno. It feels and sounds great, and feels like more power. Even if I did lose a horse or two, I'm still keeping it!

I don't know if this is the case, but we found that at full throttle, the butterfly on the 4.6 TB actually opens wide and then turns upsidedown and closes halfway. It could be the power loss was caused by this. We installed a piece that restricts how far the TB can move, so I cannot push my pedal "to the floor", only to the TB's wide open point.

This may not be the case with everyone, but it's something to consider. A buddy of mine had his 4.6 TB on for 2 months or so before I got mine, we noticed this problem, fixed it on mine, then looked at his and it was doing the same thing.
