I installed my dads first mod on his '98 C-SVT Last Night at about 12:30AM(hehe ) - Well now, there is a weird noise - It's like a loud Droning of the intake its there pretty much all the time - Its like a very loud humming -I have checked all fittings and bolts and whatnot and they are all nice and tight

In the instructions it said to make sure the Negative Battery cable wasnt in contact with the Intake Cone(why is this?) - It was in contact with it - So I put a fairy large piece of double sided tape in between the cable and intake cone

I couldnt get the bracket that supposedly 'holds' it up attached so that is not on either - I have installed 2 Intake before - Both on our focus(one KKM and one FocusSport < Current)our KKM for our focus wanted the bar to hold it up to - But i didnt put it on - it worked fine

Like I said I have installed 2 intakes personally and never have I heard this noise - I have also ridden in many other cars with intakes and such and never heard this noise...

Help? I tried some ghetto fixing - I put Double Sided tape around the neg. cable and all the grounds and triple checked everything...

I hope this isnt supposed to be this way - Cause it is very annoying

The TH fix consist of putting some little peice of pipe into the intake. Here is the How-to: Throttle Hang Could you help my rating out? I hate having just one star.

No doubt it's the moose. I had the same problem after installing the KKM.

The drone, if it is constant, is simply the intake noise now. By removing the stock airbox you removed all the noise deadening devices so you've got more intake noise. I liked it though...nice performance noise.

So did you install the TH-Fix and have the sound go away?

Wishing - This isnt a 'performance' sound it is a fairly loud droning annoying sound - I checked up FAQ about this and have most of the info I need now
