I can get the motor for cheap. What parts can i swap in to give me more vroom? Or can/should i just swap the entire motor? i was thinking about a complete swap but don't know what is involved.

Does the pcm just "hook up" or will I need to splice many wires? Is the motor a direct swap? Will it fit my auto tranny?

The motor is complete but i'm not sure what to do.

Any help would be appreciated.

cheers

the TB and UIM are easy swaps. the LIM is a little more involved. airbox would be nice upgrade. I can't think of any easy take-offs. Exhaust system if you can get it

Talk to Iceman22 in the Pennsy forums. He's working something similar and last 1/4 drag meet he was one of the fastest guys there. Of course his 0.51x reaction times certainly helped!!

I didn't think the RT has anything to do with the ET. Anyway, if you don't use the UIM, I'll take it! I want to see what's the difference between one that's ported and polished, and one that that's not.

He was also running ETs comparable to the modded SVTs. Heck, he actually beat me across the line just on his RT (with a slower ET).

Then the RTs really came into play when the bracket eliminations started and he had a bad stretch of luck on his first run (I think he red lighted or missed a shift). Too bad, b/c he coulda been a contenda.

On topic: You can use anything you are comfortable working on. Heads are Extrude Honed and have bigger valves as well. A chip should give you more umph with SVT parts.
