lol, I actually did a very ghetto thing. I wrapped the edge of it with electrical tape, it prevents the broken edge attached to the cone from drivng down below the outer edge, and also prevents the rubbing noise. I tested it by pounding the crap out of it with my "punch bass remote" turned all the way up on my Punch 400s and dialed the gain up to 3/4, turned on the loudness button on the HU, turned the SUB-out setting on my HU to its highest setting, and played a bass mekanic cd...LMAO. I figure if it's wrecked why not wreck the pair and get new subs right?
But believe it or not it just pounds away and I can't hear any audible defects!!
