Rad idea. Might look cool! Only problem would be that the pipe would be under the back door and occupants would have to deal with noise and heat, maybe even exhaust fumes. Who knows?

i wanted to do this a while back but i remember someone telling me something about the exhaust being to close to the gas tank

Brad Noon has done side exit exhaust on his SE. It comes out directly behind the rear wheels. Interesting look that's for sure.

Yes here Brad's posted pics several times

BTW - side exit exhaust on the passenger side before the rear wheel is a bad idea considering that's where the fuel lines are routed!

Tru Rida22 has dual side exit exhaust in front of his tires. He is from the SE mich forum...

Bad idea if you live in a place where the temp gets cold. Ford had this problem with the 97 F-150's, where when it got cold and the exhaust got hot, the heat bent the rims. That is why 98+ F-150 have the exhaust behind the tire. If you did it right I think it would look pretty sweet though.

yeah, the lightning still ahs the exhauast in front, my brothers 2000 f150 has it too
