Make sure the waterpump isn't seized up. At least the junkyard part will have the bolts.

how would i check for that?

At the place where the pulley was previously attached to, you will see a square plate with four holes. If you cannot rotate the square plate easily, then the WP is probably siezed up.

thanks i thought as much, tried that this morning and it spun pretty freely so im guessing its good to go. The last thing i need to do is spend MORE money. Ive been calling for dealerships ALL weekend and every one of them says that they are going to have to order the part and the earliest i would be able to get one would be tuesday.


I guess my last question is how can i acess where the pulley used to be easily? Is is better to go from under the car or what. OOOOOH and does anybody know what size socket is needed to take those big ass bolts off whatever the thick metal bad that bolts the engind down to the passenger side of the car?
