I saw a car back up at Wal-Mart and it was the perfect parking place. Then I saw a woman with her car door wide open talking on a cell phone blocking the parking place. I was planning on stopping a few inches from her door to let her close her car door. She saw me coming first. She closed the door but she looked angry. I spent 45 minutes in Wal-Marts looking at movies, shoes and buying a Sub Way sandwich. When I returned the angry woman was just getting off of her cell phone. She had been in the hot sun on her cell phone all that time.

What do you think about cell phones? I never want to own a cell phone because I know it would require too much attention.

Humm alrighty a couple things came to mind while reading your post.....

1. God forbid you are actually able to park your car in a parking lot. I mean after all, she was sitting in her car with the door open and taking up a good chuck of the parking space next to her, therby claiming ownership of it.

2. The woman is a retard.(I'm not even going to try and explain my reasoning)

3. It's not like it's a baby or a pet.....you either use it or you don't.

You were nuts to park next to her... that's begging for door dings. Otherwise, she's really not harming anyone else, so whatever!

I thought about that, my 1991 Dodge D250 work truck has so many dents and dings that I would never notice another dent.

I went to an auction and there were two brand new spotless dually trucks taking up more than one space each. I managed to back my truck in leaving about 2 inches on the passenger side and just enough room to squeeze out of the drivers side door. LOL

I love cell phones, but I really hate many cell phone users.
Just an example of my peeves:
-People that talk in resturants. Now, if I am McDonalds or some place, I could care less, but any place where these is wait staff, if you have to use the phone go the F outside!
-People that use the phone in the car. Now I will admit I do talk on the phone in the car, and it doesn't bother me so much on the highway where you're probably just sitting there (in the right lane hopefully), so I don't see that as much of a problem.
-People that use the phone extensivly when you are around them. Now I don't mean when you're at home or something. But if I'm in the car with a friend or hanging out with somebody, and they just keep talking. STFU!!

I guess I'm not that tolerant.

Owning a cell phone doesn't mean you're controlled by it.

I don't like bad drivers that are talk on cell phones. Some people can drive good, and talking on a cell phone doesn't change that much. Some people drive bad, and just get more distracted with their phone.

I HATE HATE HATE people that talk on a phone while talking to me. Mainly this happens when I'm at work. I think for now on, I may just walk away if they're on the phone. If they say something, I reckon I'll just say I don't want to interrupt their phone call. And then kick them.

Meh, cell phones don't require attention. Had someone called me when I was about to go into Wal-Mart, I would have just gone about my business in the store while talking on the phone... and a very, very small percentage of my calls take more than 5-10 minutes. Back in high school I didn't want a cell phone because I didn't want my parents keeping track of me 100% of the time (hehe), but now a cell phone is almost essential for the college life. The convenience of it is undeniable. I just got a headset so I can talk hands-free in my car now, which is a big plus. Without it, I hate driving a manual while trying to talk on the phone!

A lot of people do need to be more polite though. If I get a call while I'm with someone, at least I'll say "excuse me" before answering it.

as much as i hate people who have no cell phone etiquette...
i hate people that will park their beat up vehicle next to a nice vehicle just to be dinkhole.

if one of those trucks belonged to you, you would be pissed if you cam out and saw that some parked 2" away from you.

Nothing like buying a new $50k+ vehicle (price out any dualy with diesel) and getting beaters parked next next to you. Sometimes you have no choice of where to park and most beater owners/drivers don't cause damage to other vehicles. It still worries the owners of nicer vehicles.

to me, cell phones are not for long, drawn out conversations.
I've never liked owning one, but I've used it in emergency situations and such, so that's the only reason I keep it around.
If I really wanted to talk to someone for a long time, I'd go meet up in person.

If it's long distance and I know it might turn out to be a long conversation, I'll use the cell phone only because of the cheaper rates, rather than my home phone, but that's a rare situation.

It amazes me to see all the teenage girls yapping incessantly on their phones. I just don't see a need for having a phone permanently attached to your ear when you're a kid.
And they'll all be doing it while they're hanging in a group of other kids. WTF! "hey, let's all get together to spend time with each other so we can call all kinds of other people that aren't here"
