I know, dumb question - worse yet that I didn't take note before, but I replaced the black ECT (I assume was stock) with a grey/gold one (it fits, however). Thing is, it didn't go in all the way (as in the bolt part go down to touching the black plastic of the thermostat housing).
However, looking at the original one, I'm not sure if that one did either (judging by the threads), and I'm not 100% sure on this - don't want the sucker to pop out, but it did get to the point where I felt if I turned it anymore I might crack the housing (worse idea).
Of course this all would be easier had I had a torque wrench, but I don't :P Watcha say?
