I really hope a judge chews this guy's ass out! and attorney that might be stupid enough to take his case.
i saw this on the news last night and the reporter was walking/talking with the guy all serious like. what a f*@%in' joke!
Michael Jordan look-alike sues superstar

July 7, 2006 - An Oregon man sues basketball superstar Michael Jordan because, according to him, they look too much alike.
Allen Heckard said he has been mistaken as MJ nearly every day for the past 15 years and he's tired of it. He is suing Jordan and Nike founder Phil Knight for $932 million dollars. His claim alleges defamations, permanent injury and emotional pain and suffering.

Jordan has not commented on the suit.

Man sues Jordan as look-alike

PORTLAND, Ore., July 7 (UPI) -- A Portland, Ore., man is suing Michael Jordan because, he says, he's often mistaken for the basketball superstar and is tired of it.

Allen Heckard is also suing Nike founder Phil Knight for making Jordan one of the most recognized men in the world, KGW-TV, Portland, reports.

He's asking for a combined $832 million -- $416 million each.

"I'm constantly being accused of looking like Michael and it makes it very uncomfortable for me," Heckard said.

KGW says Heckard stands just over six feet tall, about six inches shorter than Jordan, but has a shaved head with an earring in his left ear. He plays a lot of basketball, he says, and wears Air Jordan shoes because they're comfortable.

I think the bright side that he doesn't see is that this "handicap" of his could be racking him up some serious poonany points if he tried!

Ever hear the old Abe Lincoln quote that goes something like this: "An attorney who represents himself has a fool for a client and an ass for an attorney"?

This ass/fool is representing himself. An attorney would have told him he's crazy and shown him the door.

In local newspaper coverage on this same suit, a local attorney was asked for comment. He mentioned that every person has their right to their day in court, and this guy's day in court would be short.

I wonder how this guy will like paying court costs, prevailing party fees and perhaps even attorneys fees for both Nike and Jordan if he does not pull the plug on this silly stunt. And the local judges will remember him as a major flake if he EVER has to be in court again after this.

It would be funny if jordan came back with a quote from Michael Bolton of Office Space:


"Why should I change, he's the one who sucks! "
