ok, so when i bought my computer, i didnt get a DVD drive (bad mistake), anyways, im moving in a month or so and im only taking my computer with me. instead of taking all of my movies with me, i figured i copy them onto my computer

jumping ahead....

my parents computer has a DVD drive in it. so what i was thinking was that if i take all the movies that i want to watch, and copy them to their computer, then send them to mine, i can save them on my computer and problem solved!

BUT....the problem that i have is this is the first time ive ever done this. CAN you even copy a DVD to a computer like a regular cd? and if so, how would i do that?

oh yeah, id be using windows media player (i also have divix for just movies)

thanks in advance
kev

dvd shrink is excellent for ripping backups of dvds. i'd also recommend Handbrake.
