is there anyway i can hook up a vcr to my computer to get videos off of the tape and put it in my computer? sorry if this question sounds stupid to you. im just askin

Yes you can just need the right video card, softwear and cords.

Take a look at Pinnacle's equipment. They have the software, and hardware to get you going.

Their software is great too, you just have to have a good size harddrive (any video editing or video stuff on the computer) and a fast processor.

I use PInnacle Studio and have created some cool home videos!

i have a dazzle dv-90 that i use on my laptop for recording stuff. i don't use there software, but the actual capture device is wonderful. i think it was like, $80 about a year ago. might have come down since then.
