I was on my way home from the office and I heard something moaning bad, so I turned down the radio, looked at the tach, the car was running fine... then I turned off the A/C and the moaning stopped... the motor was spinning VERY slow at that time, that was what the sound was... I smelled a burning smell, now it doesn't work at all.

I have searched and come up with lots of other issues, but none quite like this, so before I order up the parts, anything I should check first? My blower motor quit a little while back, I tore the dash appart screwing around with the switch, then randomly after putting the whole car back together, it just decided to work and has worked just fine for months. This time, I smelled burning electronics, so it's not coming back. It doesn't work on any setting, any speed now.

Is it the resistor pack do you think (I doubt it since it doesn't even work on high), or is it the motor? I just want to know before I go ordering up everything.

BTW... Fuses 37 and 23 are fine and I can feel the relay click on and off when I turn the switch from off to pannel. On the motor plug, I get full 12v when I select anything, doesn't matter what speed I set the fan to. When the heater control is off... I get 0v, when I turn it to pannel or anything else, it's full 12v.

In my frusteration, I went up to Murray's and they just happened to have a blower motor in stock (that was actually a pleasant suprise, for a change) and I tested it in the parking lot... sure enough, it was the blower motor. Guess I'll be changing this out right now. Sorry for the post that meant nothing... really no more than me just talking to myself.

I agree, even if you were just talking to yourself.

No problem guys... btw, it works great! It was a bit tricky to get the actual motor out of the housing, but after that, it was a piece of cake, very straight forward.
