OP see Newbie S Joined: Jul 2006 Posts: 2	I have a 95 contour with 2.5 Duratec, Auto and have replaced 4 water pumps in the last 15,000 miles. All have leaked out the weep hole and none have broken propeller, First one came from AutoZone and next two from Ford (with white prop.) and last one from Advance. The rad. fan runs normally and the temp. gauge is always at the N when warmed up. Any ideas? Thanks, scott

Your original WP was replaced because of leakage, or breaking? if broken, did you make sure to piece together the shattered impellar to make sure you removed it all (and if unable to get all pieces then you made sure to backflush the cooling system to remove them from the car)?? FavoriteMystaque Hard-core CEG\'er F Joined: Oct 2004 Posts: 1,456	Maybe a highly experienced mechanic could comment. A few CEG'ers are I would check the belt tensioner and belt, and it's possible the pumps were all defective if they were remanufactured.

OP see Newbie S Joined: Jul 2006 Posts: 2	Ray, the original pump leaked. It was taken to a local mechanic who replaced it with an Autozone pump. That one leaked the same within a month. So went back to mechanic got refund and went to Ford to buy the complete unit with hose. Installed it and lasted one year before it too leaked from the weep hole. Got another Ford unit with white propeller and it just started leaking after one year. So now I installed one from Advance. Whole time car has never over heated and fans run fine, just leaks out weep hole slow at first and then after couple weeks it pours out heavy when motor shut off. The tensioner is easily moved by hand and hoses dont appear to colapse when hot and reving engine. Hope this sheds some more light. Thanks
