O-k

I'm looking at a MIL eliminator that I purchased from a fellow CEGer. Here's what I'm looking at:

1 Mega Ohm Resistor (250V)
1 micro farad capacitor

I'm looking to wire these in line with the grey and black wires per the schemetic that's been posted on here: Demon's Webpage

But what I'm seeing that this guy has done is that he has sodered the capacitor inline on one side of the resistor. Is that right? I thought that resistor would go inline on the grey wire, and that the capacitor would go inline on the black wire, and that the 2 shouldn't touch...should they?

Please help...looking to get this done today!

Okay, first off.. If you are looking at a schematic and STILL lost, this probably wasn't the best thing to embark on.

The schematic shows that the capacitor is wired in parallel with the black wire and the grey wire (one end touches each wire)

The resistor is in series on the grey wire (cut the grey wire and place the resistor in the middle of the cut)

the two white wires are left alone.
Just note that the cap is in parallel and the resistor in series, and note WHERE on the wires they are installed (in relation to the car wiring harness, or o2 sensor)

Thanks Ray..I studied the scematic a little more, and that's exactly how I did it.

The guy I got them from...a very well known CEGer...wired them wrong, so I went back and corrected it exactly like you/the scematic said.

Thanks for the confirmation!!
