Thanks, Michael
If you plan on doing any exhaust modifications or any more flow modifications at all, the KKM S&B filter size & design will not provide enough flow. The filter design makes it die at higher rpms and the filter size yeild lower gains obviously than a larger filter.
If you search you'll find several posts about this subject.
Again the KKM is a great kit, but its not for someone who plans on modifying their very much. I'm only saying this because I wish I knew this before I bought it. Now I am to the point where I need to buy a new filter, in order to fully take advantage of all my gains.
So why not do it from the start?
Like I said check into the BAT Maf ADAPTER w/ Screen gasket holder (I wouldn't get their filter kits), then look into a 7-9" K&N or AFE filter, and make or buy a heatshield. If you do this you'll have a good building block!
The BAT tubing is a nice design but you can buy the tubing from Home Depot and run your own.
If you do get a larger filter you may have to do some trimming. Again if you run a search I'm sure you'll get plenty of info on this subject.
Hope that helps
