OP hntb Newbie H Joined: Jun 2006 Posts: 1	My son's 96 with 60k has a transmission leak. I've had rear main seals fixed on other cars with fair to poor long term success. Anybody have any post-seal replacement luck, or am I destined to live with a spotted garage/driveway?

SquareHead CEG\'er S Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 410 Winnipeg, Canada	Can you pin point where the leak is? I assume we are talking auto trans here? I had two leaks. One was the vent on top of the oil pan. The other was the servo seals on the bottom. 95 Contour GL. Bought new. BAT Sway Bars/Pioneer CD/Koni Rear Struts/Mobil Fluids. Looking for 15" alloy rims-PM me. 180,500km's so far.

They told me that there were 3 places it could be coming from, but wanted to make sure before doing any work. '96 Contour 4-dr 2.5L V6 Auto

I thought it was major at first because my tranny's housing was soaked down- but the gasket was all the issue was. <-- auto SE
