When driving my 96 contour 2.6 automatic the engine hesitates. The engine feels like not all cylnders are firing. When i punch the gas it is fine but when driving between 30-50mph the power goes up and down. All of the spark plugs have been replaced.Could it be a clogged cat, computer,or injector. It idels rough and has stalled at lights.Any idea's before I shoot it!

Two items come to mind.
1. Have you ever replaced the fuel filter? It could be clogged.
2. How about a tranny fluid flush? Those torque converters can really cause problems.

1985 Z51 Vette with many mods. Only used when the Tour appears to be outclassed.

Power goes up and down uncontrollably? Like when the IAC takes a gigantic sheet?

Have you checked the TB to see how dirty it is? I had the same problem with my old car and cleaned it up with some gas and a brush and then it worked fine.
