well symptoms
-On the "NORMAL" guage it will get to the red part past L in less then 5 minutes.
-A/C is shot, has been for a year, still blows outside air, slightly cooler air
-Coolant tank is full
-Fans work
-belt works

I'll start it up and drive and less then 5 mins it will be past the L into the RED. I cut if off and cruise untill i need to get more speed. Car will be parked untill problem is fixed...

So, what im thinking is that the WP is messed up but, it has a metal impellar...... Thermastat could also be closed/open. Just wanted to check with ya'll before i dig into it.


hm....time for a 3L????

Turn on the heater. Is the air warm or hot? Hot means thermostat stuck on closed. Warm means water pump broken.

well the a\c doesnt work. hasnt for awhile....... it blows cool air. the heater blows hot air like normal

Remember that even though you've got a metal impeller, there's still that part on the back of the WP in which the impeller spins that can become disconnected from the housing and affect the impeller's ability to pump coolant through the cooling system.

nice to know.

problem solved.... Thermostat was in 2 peices.... got a replacement and it runs fine now. thanks for your input guys.
