woot.com has a great deal going on an entry front projection and it fits in my price range.. i just dont know if i wanna spend the money now or later or never.
i currently have a magnavox 20" HD LCD and i think the wow factor of a huge screen would be worth the money

here's one thread on it...I'd swear I've read some others I think that's what you're looking for & there are a couple links to other sites in that thread too.

that's a pretty good deal!
go to http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/index.php? and search on both the screen and the projector to find out about the quality of them.
i think that might be a very nice entry level setup!!

if not, you can always use it in a bedroom or something!
you'll love having a FPTV. once you get a nice audio setup, you'll never want to go to the theater again!!

I'm going to use my logitech z-5500 i know its supposed to be for the computer, but it has digi inputs.. dolby and dts encoding and is wayyyy louder than i'm going to need. I know its not a denon receiver with an external amp and klipsch components..but it will be enough to make me happy i think

Good deal - projector is selling for just ove $1k on Amazon! You do know it's not HD though, just ED?
I agree on the importance of a good audio setup. The last thing I saw in the theater was True Lies back in '95. My 54" RPTV with a nice surround setup is 90% of the positive theater experience with none of the negatives - nobody at my house is allowed to yell at the screen, nobody with a big head of hair comes in and sits in front of my 5 minutes after the movie starts, the floors in my house aren't sticky. And, I can pause and rewind as needed to catch something I missed all of or to get more popcorn or beer. Don't seriously sample good audio until you're ready to buy though or suddenly what you thought was great will be teh suck to you. I'd love to upgrade from my Definitive Technologies and HK setup but I don't have the room for it yet nor the spare $10k to get what I'd really want.
