Got my secondaries pinned in shop today to see how I would like it. Absolutly terrible. I'm glad I just pinned them instead of removing them. No torque down low, and no noticeable improvement HP. As Demon said, the SE doesn't lke this mod. If you have an SE, don't waste you're time, but it could be different with an SVT. Just thought I would save SE guys some time.

The non-SVT's seem to like the secondaries cracked.

Suppose to pick up the 2500-4000rpm range.

I agree completely with the results on the SE. It sucks.

What is the mod status on your tour?

I wouldn't think pinning/removing would do anything usefull on a mostly stock setup. But with headers, catback, intake, chip, and or apex... Well I guess we will have to wait and see if I ever get around to removing mine.

At least you found out you coludn't live with the bottom end loss before you cut the rods. wink

FWIW, the most usefull and noticeable secondary mod i have come across is forgetting to reatach the butterfly return spring (I slipped the right side end of the spring out of the retainer notch and forgot to put it back so the spring rotated about 1/3 turn counter clock wise). This reduced the force required to open the secondares just enough to smooth out the transition.

Nothing but "ghetto mods" for now. Intake resonator, exhaust res. replaced with glasspack, and I have cracked the secondaries. I did like the cracked secondaries. There is no real $ going into this as I am saving it for my '98 F-150.
