(i read the common FAQ, and i live in michigan it has only been about 70 so i doubt it got "too hot", but i guess i can check)

my sunroof is stuck open,
i checked it's not the fuse (my power windows still work and I was informed that it is the same fuse)
anyone have any tips as to what this could be?
i push the button and NOTHING happens

and if it is a full motor replacement how much and where can i get this? and is it an "easy" do it yourself job? I hate paying a place to do the work if I or one of my friends can do it
thanks

How old is the battery? Might be time for a new one.

I have never changed the battery.. adn I have had the car almost 6 years.
but if that were the case wouldn't I notice problems elsewhere also?...

I would, personally having experienced the same symptoms, be ready to inspect and replace the gear. one spot is likely "softening" but not stripped, at this time.

FYI,
I have had the replacement gears from both companies and both have stripped. Apparently some motors do not like them.
