I was wondering if anybody has one of these filters from BAT and if so does it work good.

I have it, and I'm satisfied with it. But...

It's not as pretty a setup as getting a MAF adapter and fitting a K&N. The base plate is not made by ITG, but appears to be fabbed at BAT.

I think foam filters better than cotton gauze (e.g, K&N), although for hard data, it depends on where you look. Square inch for square inch, though, the cotton gauze flows better, which is why the foam filter is so large. As a result, if you have a hoodliner, you will pretty much have to remove it. (Many K&N guys do this anyway to improve flow, etc.) Also, the K&N type filter will be more durable against abrasion. I had some small wires from around the battery wear a small chunk out of mine.

ITG, and other foam cones, are popular in Europe, but we now have several choices over here in the cotton gauze type cone. When I bought it, it was a less expensive option than K&N, or KKM, and I don't mind being different. I've had it on for a couple of years, now, and no problems. It may be quieter than the K&N types, as I'm not really aware of induction "roar," or it may just be that I'm half deaf.

Sorry to blather on.

Summary:

1. Total Flow is as good as K&N (probably)
2. Protection is better (or not, depending on data source)
3. Not as pretty as a "traditional" cone filter
4. Perhaps not as durable as the mesh-wrapped K&N
5. Quieter (maybe)
6. Size of filter requires hoodliner modification or removal, at least on the non-SVT Duratec.
