When UDP's first came out there was some talk about piggybacking the stock damper onto the UDP for harmonics reasons. I'm reviving this back ... can it be done to get the performance benefits of the lesser diameter UDP AND keep the safety inherent in the dampers?

Been discussed before.

Answer: Apparently not, since the UDP changes the dynamics enough to cause the damper to not function in the right frequencies.
