Well i'm looking for a replacement for the CSVT and I decided to take the new Jetta GLI out for a drive. The looks of if weren't particularly impressive but then I read up on it. 200 HP/207 tq 2.0 turbo engine which doesn't sound too impressive either but it has 0-60 times of about 6.4 sec. and and gets 24/31 mpg. It won Car and Driver's everyday hero's test beating the TSX, G6 GTP, Accord EX, and Mazdaspeed 6. The ride was good and supposedly the automatic is faster than the manual and also gets better mpg because of the DSG transmission which was pretty smooth. I'm looking for a car that's a little faster than my CSVT but gets better gas mileage. Also I need a four door and I want a car about the same size as my CSVT for under 30k. Anyone on here have a new GLI? Thoughts anybody?

I can't stand the new, regular Jetta's, but the GLI is pretty sweet. I would consider it simply because of the DSG. My chiropractor has a GLI, and I'm actually pretty impressed by it.

DSG is awesome. I was very impressed with the GTI. Not a huge fan of the styling but the sound and performance was great.

Mazda6!
Seriously, I drove the GLI and wasn't impressed, especially for the high pricetag and lack of necessities (where's the full power seat!). That Car and Driver comparison test was badly ranked, even by their standards. They wouldn't allow a Grand Touring package on the MS6 when the TSX still cost more, and picked cars the regular Mazda6 beats over the Speed.
