Looks like I was looking at outdated information on this last night.
They do have the 195/60/14 tire like the falken. http://www.edgeracing.com/tire/1513/

Happy dance! I'm leaning towards 'Kooks, partly because of the price - do you have any data on them in the rain?

If you search c-c, there's a thread that lists one man's opinion on them and the rest of the contenders in a heavier STS car. Kooks were on the bottom of the list. Also, check out the street tire shootout in GRM.

That doesn't tell me anything about wet. Plus my choices are pretty much Kook/615/T1R/ES100 and some cheap tires in 14".

GRM didn't have the water turned on? I must have remembered wrong. If you're not shaving, it should be about a wash. Standing water sucks for any tire, a thin water layer seems to prefer the new Azenis. The most important thing that I read about the Falkens is to put two to three heat cycles into them before an autocross, for some reason it takes longer for them to come in. Unlike crack, err I mean the V710.

RE: ZE-512s. I will slap you right in the mouth if you buy these pieces of apcray. I want them to go away so fast from my sedan, and they're shedding wear like it is going out of style. I've *never* had a tire wear that fast, especially one with a what, 280 tread rating? And they sing on the interstate too. I want them to go to hell and die.

I like them. For $43 a tire they grip really well, although they're mushy. I have them on the 190E and they are dissapearing fast, but that's largely my fault. Still, $/mile ain't bad with them!
