New to the site, but changed my oil this past weekend, and thought I'd pass on my impressions.
Have used mainly Mobil-1 5/30 its whole life. But the past couple of oil changes, have ran MotorCraft 5/20. I was amazed at how much quiter the MC was than the M-1. Its seems that M1 allows a lot of engine noise to get thru. It still protects, just loudly!
So Anyways, saw that Penzoil Plat was only $4 per quart, so I got 6 qts of 5/20.
1st impression:
Very "quiet" oil. Just like the MC. Engine seems to rev out just like M-1. Penz has put up some stellar numbers on bobistheoilguy.com, so I think we have a winner here.
