my father has a 99 honda accord EX 4cyl. automatic as a company car. apparently, this has been a problem for a while but it wasn't til last night that it really bothered us. my car has been in the shop and he's been letting me borrow the honda or his LR3 in the mean time. last night i backed the accord into our driveway (which is a slight slope towards the garage), stopped, removed the key, exited the car and as i stepped away the car rolled back because it was still in drive. the car rolled into the garage door and dented it in very deeply. it is off track and too bent to fold up anymore. the car has not even one scratch, but that bring me to the problem. im not supposed to be able to remove my key when it is in gear. what is wrong with the ignition?
