I want to buy a sho-shop y-pipe because of how ridiculously restrictive the stock pipe is, plus 8-10hp couldn't hurt. One thing I was wondering is if I get a y-pipe w/ no cat will my check engine light come on. I wouldn't think it would because our o2 sensor is before this. Also I wanted to make my car louder so I can hear my brullen better, would this help. Also I want to thank Terry again in takeing about a half hour to an hour to talk about my clutch/Trans problem. Thanks Terry! 1998.5 SVT

no, your check engine light will not come on, and you will definately notice a difference in sound.

MI ain't got no e-tests. Just about everyone out there rips the cat off whatever car/truck they drive.

Did you gut your pre-cats? With gutted pre-cats and a Sho Y...it's much louder than stock. Good luck!

Its a dirty job and it makes your car sound raspy. (Listen to mine) I dont know if I noticed a difference or not...
But its not too hard to do.
