Any college baseball fans....??? The regional fields were posted yesterday so I'm sure at least a couple of you have made plans to be in Omaha for mid-June. I'll hopefully be there watching Rice win it.
So who is everyone's pick to win???

Oregon State Beavers. They should have gone farther last year.

Blah, they sent Kansas to Oregon. I could have done Omaha, but not Oregon.

Looks like Oregon State and Hawaii (?!?!?!) saved Kansas fans some money, those fans won't need to travel to catch the next round's games.
And Texas and Nebraska are now both knocked out with losses on their own home fields?

After watching the Houston Regional, I can't imagine the Rice Owls not making it to the final game this year. The pitching staff is the best in the nation and their bats are destroying NCAA baseball... As for the others, I think Stanford will go far considering they did an awesome job in their regional with wins over Texas (THANK GOD!) and North Carolina State. Stanford's had a back-n-forth season (33-25), but it appears as if the postseason has really boost the teams performance. I don't think Oregon State will be able to take them down next weekend. However, the bracket is set up in that they will have to beat Rice, assuming they advance, to make it to the final game...so I don't know... Naturally Clemson is a top team, but I can't see them actually pulling it off, especially if they have to face Georgia Tech going into the CWS. I think Georgia Tech almost comming back to beat Clemson in the ACC tournament two weeks ago is proof enough. Same goes for North Carolina who got destroyed in the ACC tournament, but then faced two cake-walk teams in their regional to make it to the supers (I'm sorry if you think Winthrop is a "good" team but doing well in the Big South Conference is not an accomplishment). This year they have dropped series to Georia Tech and Virgina, and In my opinion, NC is one of the more overated teams in NCAA baseball. I have not seen alot of Fullerton except when they dropped a series to Rice back in March...so yeah If I had to guess, I'd say its Rice and G-Tech in the final game But if not Rice, I'm gonna put my money on Stanford.

Stanford doesn't get a free pass for beating Texas. Hadn't Oregon State already beat Stanford like 3 times during this year's PAC-10 season? Stanford has a long established reputation, but the Beavers have better pitching.

It's North Carolina vs Oregon State for the finals of the College World Series...

Gee, maybe the Beavers' pitchers had something to do with it?
Steve "Psycho" Lyons must be elated.
