Contour Enthusiasts Group Archives Forums General Troubleshooting P455 CEL Code

I got a CEL and scanned it and P455 came up. I searched and found that the code is "Leak or blockage detected in Evaporative Emission Control System". Any way someone can help me understand and let me know what I can do to correct this problem. Other codes came up as well P136 Downstream Heated O2 Sensor circuit fault Bank 1 and P141 Downstream Heated O2 Sensor Heater circuit fault Bank1. Any help would be appreciated. I know the O2 Sensor codes are present because the O2 Sensor that goes into the y-pipe at the bottom is not on the car.

Well, you know what to do about P0136 and P0141. Put a Bank 2 Lower O2 sensor back in.

As for P0455, check for loose fuel cap first.
Then read this TSB for other suggestions.

I forgot to check my gas gap. I just took it off and put it back on. I will reclear the fault codes this week once I buy an O2 Sensor to put on the car.
