Well after too many delays and even more headaches. I finally fired my poor car up after 6 weeks of slumber.

After priming the fuel and oil system (coil disconnected) Thankfully it started right up. laugh

Let it run for a good 10-15 minutes to let every thing get hot, cure, check for leaks, etc... Nothing popped up. (thankfully again laugh ) Everything was working as advertised...

So I decided to take it for a simple test drive. Several trips up and down the long road by my house embedding the new pads and circulating the fluids a bit. Nothing major. Everything still was working fine.

So I turned around to come and a decided to get on it a bit. Punched it in first at 4000 rpm and vaporized the tires, quickly shifted into second and they stayed spinning. I let off and let them catch, accelerated a little and spun them into 3rd.
I was getting all excited and about to really get on it when I decided to punch up the S-AFC and see how the O2 readings were looking.

So I rolled into the throttle at 2500rpm in 2nd and watched the voltage keep dropping and dropping and... Needless to say I quickly let off at about 5500rpm.

The voltage read .75v at 5500rpm and would have kept dropping!!! (previous low was .85v at 6k & above)

Oh yeah - this is all without my chip!!! I won't have that back until Friday. eek laugh

The only bad thing I found out on the test drive is that the exhaust sounds like major ASS!!!
RASP, RASP, RASP It's has so much rasp it almost RASPS at idle... frown

BTW - I switched exhaust too. My single muffler exhaust was jet plane loud and rasped like hell.

I'm now running a 2.5" single mandrel pipe with 2.5" resonator (from other system), custom Y-split and factory SVT duals. (VERY soon to have NEW mufflers - the stockers obviously can't handle cutting the noise being so small!)
The cool thing is I noticed no change in performance between the exhaust systems. (well atleast nothing butt dyno notable from idle to 5500rpm)

Hell I'd even put a cat on it if it would kill the damn RASP... laugh

I will have lots of pictures and specs up in the next couple of days. (head ports, UIM, LIM, Rr STB, headers, oil seperator, etc)

My website is updated for the most part...

I also still have a few things to button up, but am just glad it's RUNNING again!

Holy Crap.... eek

Well, I think you have done almost everything possible without going inside the engine. That attention to detail will pay off..I think you will break the 200 FWHP barrier after tuning complete, maybe even 210?? Can't wait to see the dynos laugh

BTW, how big are your UIM runners after the E.H.

Here are some specs...

Head Inlet Ports

Primary Before: 33mm
Primary After: 33.5mm

Secondary Before: 34mm
Secondary After: 34.5mm

Mainly took the ridging off and all the casting flash still left. It's obvious they EH'd both ports and then milled the top surface!

LIM
Primary Outlet Before: 32.5mm
Primary Outlet After: 33.5mm

Secondary Outlet Before: 34mm
Secondary Outlet After: 34.5mm

Primary Inlet: 33.5mm
Secondary Inlet: 34.7mm

UIM
Primary Outlet Before: 30.5mm
Primary Outlet After EH: 33.1mm
Port matched the last 3-4" to: 33.5mm

Secondary Outlet Before: 31.8mm
Secondary Outlet After EH: 34.4mm
Port matched the last 3-4" to: 34.7mm

I evened out (rounded & cut off ridges) all the outlet ports before I sent it to EH so that +1.6mm should be a good indication of uniform enlargment through the manifold.

The split at the mouth of the intake looks so much wider! Yet the TB opening really didn't change. I was planning on hand porting the front side walls, but didn't think it needed it anymore. I just smoothed out some imperfections and went with it...

Demon, just curious how much ExtrudeHone charged you for their services? It really annoys me how rough it is inside the uim, can't even imagine what a single, or non-honed for that matter looks like. Sounds like your car is running good, not that it didn't before. wink So you bit the bullet, and went with the bend me over laugh chip reprogramming huh? Imagine how the car will run with all that extra timing. eek cool Get to the dyno man, and make some people fear the good ol' SVT Contour.

Trust me you don't want to know!!! confused

I can tell you this, at least at the moment I won't provide anymore EH services to anyone else. The process only created headaches for both me and Greg (Demon) and still is even after it is done.

If anyone decides to EH there IM be ready to wait a hefty 5-6 weeks to get it back. I give props to Demon and I hope the wait was at least worth the new found airflow. wink

Sounds like you making some serious power man.

Any idea whats up with the 02 voltage dropping off like that (obviously your going LEAN)? I assume the maf isn't tuned yet? or maybee the injectors aren't up to the extra load?

And whats the part number for that filter man, that thing is F_ing huge!

Someone's suffering from filter envy... :p You haven't seen huge if you think that's it. I've got a 12" S&B on a BNM prototype one piece CAI/MAF pipe with a 4.25" mouth on it... Wonder if I'll have the biggest filter at the Zing? cool

It's not the size of the filter, it's the filtration area that counts is what someone with a small filter says... laugh Size does matter.

Biggest I could fit without your bend Brad. It's a 7" S&B big mouth.
