I get 23-25mpg with a lead foot in mixed driving.

Seen as high as 30mpg in straight highway driving.

The TPS mod will lower your mileage until the PCM tunes it out.

That's exactly what I got on my old 2.5 SVT motor. Lead foot and all. FWIW, I get 18 in mixed driving with the 3L.

cheap and easy things that *might* help:
fuel injector cleaner
clean air filter/high flow air filter
change fuel filter
also, a free flowing exhaust always helps laugh

TPS mod won't affect your milage much at all... maybe a couple of tenths of a mile (if that) less if anything... the PCM won't tune it out... no offense Demon, but you don't have experience there... I do.

Do you have any idea's as to what is causing my gas mileage problem? The engine is stock with 15,000 miles on it.

Well, anyone with bad gas milage, I would suggest running a good fuel system cleaner, maybe even concentrating it some by running it down to half a tank or little more, putting in fuel system cleaner, then splashing maybe a half gallon of gas to mix it up. Other than that, air filter, have O2 sensors checked to make sure that they are working properly (a slightly clogged O2 might not throw a code becuase it might still be in range, just not making correct compensations in A/F ratio). Make sure you don't have clogged cat's, no vacume leaks. Other than that, the more efficient you make your engine to a point, the better gas milage you will get as with performance too... as in freeing up the intake side and exhaust side a little (K&N, Exhaust). But those are my suggestions to you who have bad gas milage.

Thats about the same as i get, but thats with 0 highway miles, all stop and go around town. 16 is about average for me. Then again I almost never let the revs drop bellow 3000 unless i'm in a residential area.
