My black SVT got pooped on yesterday by a bird with a death-wish. I got it off as soon as I saw it, couldn't have been more than 20 minutes. But it was sunny out, and since my car was repainted recently I haven't applied any wax yet. So after rubbing it down with Meguire's Scratch-X, and using a little quick detailer there is still a foggy residue when inspected at the proper angle with the proper light. What can I do to get rid of this faint poop imprint? Will it go away when I get my car polished? Or maybe when I put some wax on her? I'm rather upset, being that this is a brand spankin' new paint-job. Thanks in advance.

If it's purple, it's acid. I still have a spot of eaten paint from it. Also, I would use a buffer AS A LAST RESORT.

A year or two ago I failed to notice some bird poo on my work truck. I'm sure it was on there for a week or more. When I finally cleaned it off, it had crazed the paint underneath. Stock paint on a 2000 model, but hasn't been waxed regularly. Wanna talk about pissed!!

Claybar?... even though there is no wax on the paint yet? I thought the claybar was for removing dirt etc. by stripping the wax off? Am I wrong? Is it safe to use on straight up paint?

claybar is FOR use on bare paint... strip wax using DAWN detergent, etc, and THEN clay..
pulls contaminants from the PAINT
