Any hot buys on a Quaife differential, and what is a good price for a install?
Thanks Eddie

They go for $595...I have been quoted for quaife, fidanza flywheel, and clutch install between $700-$1000. It's recommended you do all at the same time as you will save on install, since it can cost you $800 3 times, or $800 once.
Make sure you bring it to a reputable place as the quaife is not necessarily a direct fit, and may require machining.
i bought mine from spmotorsports.com for $595...or something like that...he usually cuts me and others deals if you order a few things.

The only shop I found in my area who would even touch my tranny wanted $800, and that was with the tranny already out.
Contact Terry Haines, he's got good prices and knows what he's doing.

I get calls on a weekly basis from shops who have committed to fit a Quaife and have no clue how to set up an MTX75 diff when the Quaife needs modding to fit...sound out your shops with care...if the dont know how the MTX75 is set up...RUN...dont walk....it is NOT a job for the unskilled...I do them all the time....

Hey terry...a quick question...do you sell new or used trannies with Quaife's installed? I have a brand new quaife sitting in my garage. And since I'll probable never make it out to you anytime soon, what would be the cost of a new or used tranny with a quaife installed, less the cost of the quaife, as I could just ship mine to you.
Then I could have a shop around here just install the new tranny and my clutch and flywheel...and no have to worry about a bad quaife install.

Do the Quaifes always need to be modded in some way in order to fit? What are the determining factors?
Mushu's pretty cool too!

It seems the older MTX-75's need machining and the updated (12/99 & up) ones do not. With that said I hope Terry comes along with a solid answer...

With that said I hope Terry comes along with a solid answer... [/b]Pretty sure both Lance (95) and David Z (98?) had theirs done at there local dealers with no need for machining anything.
