well I guess I can't avoid from telling everyone about my accident forever.
Two weeks ago today I was driving to work and was almost there when someone cut off the person in front of me and decided to pull into a parking lot after coming to just about a complete stop first. Guy in front of me stopped quick but I couldn't stop in time and rear-ended him at about 20mph+/-... I didn't think the damage was too bad(Front bumper, lights, grill, folded the hood, radiator support, etc....)I didn't think it was gonna get totalled but State Farm felt other wise.
They cut me a check for $47xx(after $1000 ded. and $600 in previous damages{my whole pass. side, way more than $600})and last week I found an EO for sale in San Diego, so one of my buddies and I took the 5 hour drive out there to check it out on Sat. and came back with a new car.....like I said EO 1998 Black CSVT w/101,5xx on the clock, completely stock except for alpine deck w/ MB quart spkrs.. Paid $3400, he was asking $4000 but it is in need of a paint job and has a couple of minor dents, and right now the AC is not working(it blows, but just ambiant air), next week I'm gonna try to recharge the system and/or figure out what else is wrong with it.
Everything else on the car feels strong, she made the 5hr trek back without a hitch, did well on the twisty mountain roads on the 8 and also on the long desert straightaways

.
I am the third owner, 1st owner owned it for less than a year and put 30k on it, 2nd owner was the son of the guy who owned the originating dealership(Dick Cranston Ford in E. Greenwich, RI.), he moved to San Diego in 2001 and has had the car there ever since. Now she is mine
Oh yeah it also needs a drivers side sideskirt...
