okay, no my blinker dont have excesive camber, but i do have two questions.

first off, my left rear blinker has stopped working and the buld does not appear to be burnt out. This causes the front leftto behave speratically. what can i check to find out whats wrong with it?

Second, what does it mean when all 4 tires have excessive wear on the insides. does that mean too much camber or something?

any help would be great, thanks.

Check your springs they may be broken causing uneven tire ware and check the chamber its way off. Also check your tire pressure. As far as your blinker check the fuses and the wiring.

keep us posted.

Contours are known for having the front springs broken. They will literally be broken. You can see it by looking at your springs. Or you can even jack up the front of the car to see if there are any loose pieces. As far as the back you may just have worn out springs and shock/struts. Check your tire pressure to make sure its at the correct level.

Flip the right rear bulb to the left rear and see if it works. Visual inspections usually don't cut it. If it works, it could be the bulb or the connector. If you are convinced it is the connector (which might have got a little rusty or had grime in it), clean it out and put back the original bulb. If it works, then you know it was the connector and not the bulb. If it doesn't, and you are still convinced it is not the bulb, put the left bulb on the right rear. If it works, the bulb is good, if not then look at the wiring or the MFS (multi function switch/turn signal stalk).

Most times, it is a failed bulb.

On your tire wear. It could be from an alignment problem. It could be from the toe being way off or it can be from excessive negative camber. On the fronts, a camber kit may resolve the problem. There are no such kits for the rears. If the tires are rotated regularly, it may simply from the fronts. That's how they wore on mine before installing the camber kits.

It would help if you had some alignment readings.

Mine was always the toe-in. When the toe is out it scuffs the insides. It's designed to be in a little so when you are driving forward, and the suspension tightens up, it will be neutral or close to zero.

ok, hey thanks for all the help everyone. i didn't get homw till midnight last night and i was beat, so i didn't check anything. but right after school (before going to work) i tried looking at my springs and the test was inconclusive. i could not see any breaks, but ill have to jack it up and check again to be sure.

oh, and the rear tires are much worse then the front for the uneven wear.
