Funny story...
Saw a MazdaSpeed6 rebadged as an Atenza. Also had the Japanese tail lights, less bulky than the US. Was an interesting look.

Personally, I dont think its idiotic if the car is a different name/company here. If anything, he rebadged it to what it truely is. I've seen an RSX around locally thats been rebadged to be a Honda Integra just like it is overseas. I think its kinda cool.
Except his car isnt a Skyline, wasent sold as a Skyline, the VIN isnt for a Skyline, therefore it isnt a Skyline and dosent deserve to be badged as one.
If i dropped a Cobra motor into a stock GT can i call it a Cobra? No, its a GT with a Cobra engine.. that's all.
But thats where you are wrong. it is a Skyline. It's sold as a skyline in that exact form in Japan. The only thing thats different is the name... and RHD
Edit: Nissan Japan site for Skyline
does the VIN say its a Skyline? NO, so its not a Skyline..
Does your birth certificate say "anal-retentive nit-picker" on it? And yet......
Because im right? Oh wait, now comes the Canadian bashing..
a select few of you on this board make it a real Chore to post things.

Hey, I personally have never Cannuck-bashed. But you have to admit, you are the first to yell, "RICE!" whenever someone makes a mod, as well as being rediculously judgemental as you are here. Yes, I am an ass-hat just like you, but I'll always admit it.

I dont recall yelling rice or anything? Im just saying it isnt a Skyline with valid arguments, just like your pointing out valid reasons that it might be a Skyline. But i dont go bashing away for no reason.
And yea, i am critical of other peoples car's mainly riced out cars and misbadged cars, as those are my 2 biggest car pet peeves.

^^ You wouldn't make it in the Subie world. All the bugeye WRX's I see in car magazines have STi emblems on them, from the side stickers to the fog light covers, but the STi wasn't introduced in the states until the 2004 model. And then I get a STi and take off all the STi emblems except one because I want to look different from all the other stock STi's (and I think cleaner looks better). Some people just want a car that doesn't look like everyone else, and changing the badging is one way to do that. I might laugh if the guy put some VTEC emblems on his car, but using JDM badging is cool to me. What's funny is that over in Japan the craze is USDM, so I bet there are several Skylines puttin on G35 badging over in Japan.

Some of you guys do know that there are regular sedan and coupe Skylines in Japan right? Not every Skyline is a GT-R.
