I'm posting this in the troubleshooting section because it seemed most appropriate. I've noticed that some people have the obd II scanners and some do not. Until recently I didn't have one. But now I do. Maybe we could list who has a scanners in differnt areas and would be willing to help with scanning of the codes. I suggest this because I noticed that most places charge to scan your car. And even though some do not charge, I would say many of us do not always trust the mechanics. Especially when it comes to dealing with things like transmissions. If you can't be there to see the scanner they could tell you anything. So I'll offer my scanner for anyone who needs to use it. I live in Kings Park NY (long Island). So if you need help, drop me an e-mail.

Thank you. . I am sure CEGers will be most appreciative of this offer. If all is needed is just a code read, Autozone or Advance will also do it as a free service (however, they usually can't or won't do a tranny code or real time scan).
