I have a 1997 V6 Mondeo - ex- Japan spec car - has a cluster with the 'spanner' symbol on it as per the picture:

I have a handbook for the car but it does not cover this installation - can anyone advise me please is the 'spanner' symbol a check engine light or is it a 'time for service' light?? The spanner light has just illuminated. I have hooked an OBDII scanner to the car - no faults found (but thats not to say this scanner knows everything!!). If it is just a service engine reminder, how do I reset it??

Didn't know Mondeo's had a spanner diagram.
This might help.
