hi i wanted to know if you can over oil the kkm.Do u install on the car right after you oil it,i just dont want to have the oil go in the engine.

Dont want to install right after you oil it. The oil you used should say how long to wait. I believe is like an hour or so. You can over oil although if you let it dry or sit long enough most of the extra should drip out.

It takes maybe 1 ounce of oil to do the entire filter!

If the filter is physically wet or drips.

Wash it, dry it, and start again.

It normally takes a couple hours to do it right. (drying times included)

I found it easiest to do it in the evening. When the car is going to be parked until morning. Just let the filter dry over night and pop it back on in the morning.

I should be getting my kkm this week, how often should you oil it and do you use any type of oil(k&n oiling kit) that is made for this application or should I order one of the kits from the kkm suplier

The best oil is the k&n kit which will come with cleaner and oil(15.99 can)and i think thats the only oil you should use said right on the box.Well i took my out and could not see threw it so i clean and re oil it.Most do it once in the fall and before the winter some one correct me if iam wrong.Thats what everyone i know dose it.Hope this helps you.
