It's not offical yet, but I think the Contour is totalled.

A guy driving a flatbed tow truck pulled out and went right over to the curb lane. I was going faster than another person in a pickup in the fast lane. I could not see the flatbed pulling out until it was too late and I think that he could not see me at all due to where the pick up was.

The car is pretty bad. I'm 99% sure its totalled. The A-pillar is bent, windshield smashed, rad was leaking all over, the engine looked a little taller so I think it got moved a lot. Both airbags went off but I wasn't going fast enough for myself to hit them. My nose was a little sore from just barely hitting the airbag.

I'm pretty brused up. Mostly from the seat belt I think. My best-bone hurts a lot, nothings broken though. I have a good cut on my left hand, I think from glass.

I'm going to take some pictures as soon as I can. I have to go there to get my headunit out, I won't let that go EVER. I'll keep you guys updated when I find out some info.

Well that stinks. Did the tow truck driver get cited for pulling out in front of you?

Glad you're not hurt more than bruises and a cut. Could have been worse if not for the seat belt.

I'm pretty sore and stiff this morning. I have two massages booked. The first one is tonight by a student, the GF of a friend of mine in her last year of massage therepy. The second is at a Chyroprators office. Its going to feel damn good.

Here are a couple of pictures.

I hit a flatbed single-axel truck. My a-pillar hit the bed of the truck and belt it good. Just above the bumper is where I hit the steel beem that runs the length of the truck and went right through the engine bay.

It will be missed

I think becaue it didn't hit the bumper, a lot of smaller parts had to absorb the impact. That's why it looks bad. Just a thought

Not sure. I don't really want to spend the whole insurance amount on a car. It would be nice to pay off the car a little bit(line of credit, no leins). Assuming I get around $5000. I'd like to spend $2000 or so on a car. I found a 1996 Sunfire GT 5-speed for $2500. Not sure how many KMs on it.

This is just a temporary car. Me and the other half plan on buying a new car when we move at the end of the summer and getting rid of both our current cars.

Any suggestions?

CDN dollars BTW.

Lots worse damage than my little mishap with the '99. Your car is totalled.

Fight the insurance settlement. They'll lowball you.

Must be that jumbly-wumbly thing happening again.
