Hey guys. I know this isn't for a Contour, but I need an opinion. I have a pinhole leak right across from the upper radiator hose on 1992 Celica GT. My question is should I just replace the radiator, or put some JBWeld on the hole and hope for the best?

The reason I ask is because I don't have easy access to a place I can do what I need to do to replace the radiator, as well as the fact that I am a poor college student, and don't really have the money to buy a new radiator, although I could do it if it is absolutely necessary. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

It's more expensive initially, but just replace the radiator. Both th upper and lower tanks are plastic, and there are more cracks than you know of. I had a '96 Celica GT, and thought I only had one small leak. When I pressure tested the thing, I discovered the entire tank was cracked. Same issue happened on may Camry and my friends '91 Celica.

I took mine in to a radiator shop and had the radiator replaced for somewhere around $110 I think.

j-b weld worked for my supra back in the day. but your best bet would be to replace it. once you plug that hole another might come up. but if your money is real tight just jb weld it. if you can afford a used one that would be a better idea. if its a celica with a 5s-fe manual it should be easy as cake with all the space towards the front of the engine bay.
