Tried a search, either i didnt know how to search for this, or i couldnt find it
I just replaced my damaged 99 SE trunk lid with stock spoiler with a 98? trunk lid without a spoiler
so what are my options for a 3rd brake light? Stock 3rd brake lights are ok, but the rear window has a tint trim that goes around it, and if i just add a stock 3rd brake light, it wouldnt have a total factory look
so, i was wondering what others have done, cause im sure im not the only one to get rid of the stock spoiler

i agree no 3rd looks the best. But in certian states like here in NY, you are required to have 3 brake lights in order to pass inspection.

Actually, you don't need the 3rd brake light. It is only an extended safety feature. The actual law requires you to have 2 orange to red brake lights on opposing sides.
From 375/40(b) of the NYS V&T Laws:
"Every vehicle manufactured after 1962 shall be equipped with at least two stop lamps, one on each side, each of which shall display a red to amber light visible at least five hundred feet from the rear of the vehicle when the brake of such vehicle is applied."
So even if one brake light burns out, you still get a ticket, even with the 3rd.
