I've started developing a weird noise coming from my car. It doesn't happen all the time. Only sometimes and only when, say I'm in a low gear, like 2nd and doing 10mph with no throttle, give the car a quick small blip of gas. The car accelerates but quickly goes back to a resistive roll giving a bucking feeling. Thats when the noise happens. Sounds like if you were to tap a hollow metallic pole or something. Had my brother listen to it and he said it's almost def coming from the alternator side. The sound coincides with the movement of the engine, so once forward and once back when you blip the throttle as described. Fairly reproduceable when it feeels like making the noise. I'm going to investigate further once school is out but any suggestions in the meantime?

TIA

Check your engine mounts for movement.

I have the exact noise at the same time of acceleration.

Was it your engine mounts?
